Cruises were halted back in March 2020 but are set to restart on August 2. Scarlet Lady, the first Lady ship from Virgin Voyages, is set to go on its maiden voyage, and it will be in British waters.
With the restart of cruising after a 16-month hiatus, Scarlet Lady will depart from Portsmouth and sail the English Channel.
Six unique UK sailings are planned for the summer, giving sailors a chance to experience all the luxury of the Lady Ship right here in the UK.
Berthed in Portsmouth, Scarlet Lady is a boutique hotel at sea that was designed to reflect a yacht’s sleek luxury.
The ship has 1,330 cabins and 78 RockStar Quarters. 86 percent of the cabins feature a balcony and 93 percent overlook the ocean.

Adult-by-Design, the ship doesn’t allow any kids onboard.
18+ travellers going on a cruise on Scarlet Lady will find an adult sanctuary filled with Michelin-inspired menus, group fitness classes and Shake for ChampagneTM app.
The Champagne feature is exclusive to the Virgin Voyages Sailor App and will reveal a secret Virgin Voyages Champagne button at the shake of passengers’ phones.
Getting a bottle of Champagne delivered anywhere on board is only one of the luxury features that makes the new ship such a big deal.
Virgin Voyages pulled all the stops with Scarlet Lady.
A spa with a custom-build salt therapy chamber, the world’s only Korean BBQ at sea, The Red Room, the first multiform theatre at sea, over 20 eateries on board and the latest technology are all part of the ship’s offerings.
Cruise-lovers in the UK will get a chance to sail on Scarlet Lady before she heads off to her home port of Miami, with itineraries in the Caribbean.
The Summer Soirée Series give the options of a three-night Long Weekender or four-night Summer WeekDaze cruise on the brand-new ship.
The Long Weekender sees the ship sail Friday to Monday, while the Summer WeekDaze takes place from Monday to Friday.
Departing from and returning to Portsmouth, the Summer Soirée cruises are the perfect way to try out the new ship on her “no destination” maiden voyages.
With an eye on health and safety measures, the Summer Soirée Series will only be accessible to residents of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Residents will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (plus two weeks post final vaccine) to board the ship.
Virgin Voyages is expecting its second Lady Ship, Valiant Lady, to arrive in Portsmouth in 2022.
Valiant Lady will have three itineraries, including late-night and overnight stays in Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, the Canary Islands, Lisbon and Belgium.
