A farm-stay retreat at Jamberoo has been listed for sale, and is expected to fetch at least $4.5 million. ‘Jamberoo Valley Farm’, located at 185 Wallaby Hill Road, Jamberoo, sits on 65 acres and is a working permaculture farm overlooking Jamberoo Valley and the coastline. Jamberoo Valley Farm was purchased by Mark and Evette Moran in 2017 for $3 million. They have reportedly spent about $2.5 million renovating it. The Morans co-founded aged care and retirement living home provider Mark Moran Group. The selling agent is Ray White Gerringong’s Neil Campbell, who expected the newly listed property to be in high demand from Sydney-siders and expats. Mr Campbell said the property had a price guide of about $4.5 million. “It’s just a beautiful property, and they’ve done a major renovation on the house,” he said. “You get an open view out of the whole Jamberoo Valley out onto the coast.” Mr Campbell said the Morans were selling the property as they rarely had adequate time to visit it. Jamberoo Valley Farm is an ecologically rich polyculture farm, using fully organic farming methods on their mixed fruit and vegetable market gardens. In addition to the main six-bedroom house, the property also features a two-bedroom farm-stay rental, and a three-bedroom farm manager’s cottage. Guests can stay in the cottage, which is currently used for farm-stay accommodation, or there’s the opportunity for creative workshops and events. The luxury farm-stay cottage was opened earlier this year, and has proven a popular short-term holiday rental on platforms such as Airbnb. The two-bedroom cottage has luxurious Scandinavian finishes and a large outdoor entertaining area with a wrap-around deck and barbecue. Guests can hand-pick produce and herbs from the cottage’s kitchen garden and collect freshly-laid eggs from the chicken pen. The farm is also home to pasture raised and grass-fed beef cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. An outdoor Swedish hot tub offers the ideal vantage point to relax while taking in the Jamberoo Valley views, while it also transforms into a cold plunge pool to cool down and refresh. “We wanted to create a beautiful farm-stay experience where people could truly disconnect to reconnect and experience what is a truly magical and energising property – from sitting back with a good book on the terrace to sipping wine by the fireplace or taking a romantic stroll through the grounds,” Mrs Moran said earlier this year. “It’s our favourite pocket of the world and we’re proud to be able to now share it with our guests.” The farm also supplies The Botanica Vaucluse, a farm-to-fork restaurant in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Meanwhile, the Morans have also listed their Point Piper mansion. Read more: Lots for sale by Expressions of Interest at The Waterfront, Shell Cove
